Who's Behind LocoDawn

About LocoDawn

What it is, who built it, and exactly how it relates to Indian Railways and the OEM manufacturers whose equipment it documents.

The Company

AELSLIS Private Limited

LocoDawn is built and operated by AELSLIS Private Limited, an engineering company working on 3-phase locomotive testing, commissioning, and maintenance tooling. AELSLIS's earlier work includes the Logic Box and Logic Box cum Loop Box innovations for 3-phase locomotive testing -- field-trialled at Dankuni Loco Works, CLW between April and August 2025, and the subject of Patent Application No. 202531019954.

LocoDawn is a separate product line from AELSLIS -- a searchable knowledge platform built from the same engineering documentation the Logic Box trial generated, made available to individual Railway staff and OEM engineers.

Important

Compliance boundary

LocoDawn is not sold to, procured by, or endorsed by Indian Railways

LocoDawn is a voluntary individual purchase -- available to any individual, whether a Railway staff member or an OEM/vendor company employee (ALSTOM, MEDHA, CGL, BHEL, ABB, SIEMENS, or their successors/licensees/authorised service partners). It is not sold to Indian Railways as an organisation, and it is not institutionally endorsed by any Railway department, OEM/vendor company, or AELSLIS Private Limited on their behalf.

No Railway official, no Railway department, no OEM/vendor company or its management, and no AELSLIS director or officer forces or organisationally arranges any individual's purchase of LocoDawn. Interest in this kind of tool grew from the field itself: a 09.09.2025 joint request for permanent implementation, signed by 47 Supervisors and Technical Staff of the Testing Section at Dankuni Loco Works, CLW, followed the original Logic Box field trial -- evidence of organic, ground-level demand rather than institutional push.

AELSLIS's Other Initiatives

Also from AELSLIS Private Limited

Alongside LocoDawn, AELSLIS Private Limited also builds AlgoDawn-APS, a multi-broker algorithmic trading platform for the stock market, offered through AlgoDawn Academy. The two products are entirely separate -- different domains, different branding, and no connection to LocoDawn's Railway engineering data. To understand AlgoDawn-APS or view the product, visit algodawn.in; it has no bearing on your use of LocoDawn.

Data & Accuracy

How the data is built

LocoDawn's Cable Index, Testing & Troubleshooting guide, Panel charts, and Circuit diagrams are built directly from the underlying engineering source documents -- not summarised or paraphrased. Where a cable's routing is complex enough that automated extraction can't be fully verified, it is flagged for manual review rather than guessed at, and the original source text remains available alongside the rendered diagram.
